I'm sure the title of this explains it all, but I don't think anyone realizes how stoked I am that it is finally summer. The last few weeks of school were extremely stressful to say the least. But now, the stress is all gone. Over the last week of summer, a lot has gone down.
First of all, if you have ever moved in and out of a dorm room, you would completely understand how painful it is. Yes, painful. Both physically and emotionally. But once all my things were moved out of the tiny space, my RA checked to make sure the room and bathroom were spotless then Kinzie and I were out of there for good. Room 508 you will be missed... kind of.
The first few days of summer consisted of me taking Jake to my hometown to show him the good ol' cowtown: Visalia, CA. I'm sure that boy never wants to go back to that heat and smell of fresh cow manure. After a few days in the hometown, we came back to SoCal and headed straight to the beach the next day. Who knew we could be so beach deprived after only three days of being away? Trust me, it's possible.
During the past few days I met some of Jakes friends from his hometown of San Clemente, CA (which is 100% better than Visalia) and they were all super sick! On Tuesday we went on a double date with his friend Neil and his girlfriend Amanda to K1 Speed in Irvine. Lets just say we're all professional NASCAR Drivers now. Totally kidding, Amanda and I didn't do too well but that place would be perfect for birthday parties or just somewhere to hang out no matter what your age is.
Yesterday I finally got to see Kinz after being separated for way too long! I went up to her hometown of Redlands, CA to hang out and catch up on the past week. Today, Jake and I picked up his best friend Kyle from the airport because he flew in from Minnesota where he goes to school! Kyle's alright, he roasts me a lot so I have some mixed feelings about him. Just kidding Kyle, you're cool I guess.
Anyways, I can't wait to share all of my summer adventures with those of you who are kind enough to read what I have to say. Lets make summer 2018 the best one yet!
