Hello again!! Wow. I cannot believe it has actually been seven months since I wrote my last blog. Let me tell ya, A LOT has happened. Although I'm not going to be able to cover everything that happened over the long period I was MIA, I will try my best to hit every major event. But before I begin, I've decided I'm going to switch things up a bit in future posts. Rather than giving a summary of a few things I've done, I am going to focus in on one event per blog. Also, I'm wanting to write about whatever random thing is on my mind at the moment. This way it'll be more interesting for you all and I will have more to post!
I honestly don't know where to start. Last time I was here, I was moving out of my freshman year dorm and transitioning my mindset from school to summer. This summer I spent most of my time either chillin' out at the beach with friends or at Angels games, and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way! Now, I am sitting in my sophomore year dorm (which is way better than last year's) and stressing about school while eating some Oreos with peanut butter. I am absolutely thriving, to say the least. Since school has started and I've switched my major from Communications to English, I spend most of my time writing essays, reading, and studying for my classes. In addition to school, I got a job as a hostess at a restaurant in Laguna Beach and occasionally babysit the cutest kiddos ever!
A couple weeks ago at work, my coworker Cassidy and I decided last minute to buy tickets to this concert called Concert for Tommy's Field. The concert was a fundraiser to build a soccer field in remembrance of a young boy named Tommy who recently passed away from an illness. It took place at The Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles and the artists we saw were Billie Eilish, Lil Dicky, Beck, Mike Posner, Bryce Vine, Cashmere Cat, and Denzel Curry. It was such a fun time and so heart warming knowing we were able to contribute to this amazing fundraiser. Also, about a week ago I tried boba for the first time and it was SO good. We went to this place at the UCI Campus Center called Cha For Tea - 10/10 would recommend!!! I got the mango green tea with boba and it was like heaven for my tastebuds.
One last super exciting, major life change is that my family is joining me here in SoCal. The Jewett's are saying peace out to Visalia and hello to Orange County! Although I am extremely happy to have the whole crew living in OC, cowtown will always have a special place in my heart - even if it's just the slightest bit.
Although I kept this one short and sweet, I am so happy to be back writing blogs!! From now on I will be writing them more often, since I'm switching up my writing style. I can't wait to share more about my life with you all and I can promise it won't take me seven months to write another one. See ya next time!!
